Thanks for joining me on this journey called life!
I am so excited to have you on this journey. I know that life can hit you with many ups and downs; however when you have someone to help you along the way it makes the journey less strenuous. This devotional is meant to inspire, bring hope and encouragement through the various seasons of life.
First, let me introduce myself. My name is Lonnica Crawford. I go by Nikki, Loni, Ni-Ni, TeeTee, wifey, mommy, auntie, sister and friend. The one I love the most is being called daughter of the Most High, which allows me to represent all the other names well. I am married to my best friend, Dennis for 17 blessed years. We have three beautiful kiddos that call me “mommy.” I just love it. My husband and I love to spend our time serving at our church home on the prayer team. We believe in the power of prayer. What I enjoy most are our date nights and date days. Nothing elaborate just he and I holding hands or looking in each others eyes. Well, you get the glimpse of who I am in a sense. Right???? I just wanted to show you who you are taking this journey with. I love me some people. I love relationships. God loves relationships. We cannot do life as an isolated island. We can; but it’s a whole lot easier, and more fun with some folks on it, hello? Doing life with others is whassup.
Honestly, I have been carrying this devotional in my heart for years. Three years ago, I started the journey of hosting a power packed prayer line that still gathers via conference line every Monday at 6am. We have seen God move in a mighty way. He has expanded our prayer team not just in size; but in our ability and confidence to combat the enemy with the authority of the Word of God. Every great success starts with prayer. So with that being said Beauty from Ashes was birthed in prayer. Its intent is to inspire, bringing hope and encouragement. God can do a great deal with what we believe to be hopelessness, ashes or nothings. Hopelessness, ashes and nothing in the hands of our heavenly Father is hope, beauty and something.
Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton
